Literature Text

As an only child from a wealthy family, you usually got what you wanted but you were not spoiled. No... Nothing like that. It was the complete opposite. You were happy alongside both your parents who only wanted the best for you like any other parents would. Your father was a well known doctor and surgeon while your mother was an expert chef, the best the world could have possibly known. They were both young when they had you but still managed to live their professions, which left you alone most of the time, but happy with all those tutors, mentors, and teachers you had to entertain you. To keep yourself busy, those professionals taught you all that you were interested in since you rarely left home. You learned all subjects taught in school and even did several sports since you were so athletic. School seemed pointless since you already knew everything you had been taught before, but needless to say you wanted to be normal, away from a wealthy girl's easy way of life.

Years of your youth passed and you moved on to high school. High school wasn't what you had expected. You would be ignored, picked on, or mugged for being from a wealthy family. You managed to make a few friends but they obviously weren't very good ones, and two of those usually stuck to you only to use you or to brag or complain. You honestly just didn't care, although they did irritate you sometimes. One was those types of girls who thought they could get any guy they wanted so they always put on an act of being cute and sweet in front of everyone. The other was annoying most of the time because of how she would complain or just go on her phone all day to text and would "compete" against the first one for the guys.

You had a hobby, though, that no one knew about. You would enjoy watching anime at home in your room. You had just gone a full week watching all of the Kuroko no Basket episode for both seasons, which you had gained interest in since basketball was one of your favorite sports that a mentor taught you.

You thought, 'I'm probably just as invisible as Kuroko... Except I have the added probability of being mugged or kidnapped when I do get noticed.'

Turning off the television, you sighed and laid on your comfortable bed staring at the ceiling as your (e/c) eyes grew heavy from exhaustion and eventually closed to cast you off into anime filled dreams.

The next day was dark as the gloomy melancholic clouds hovered soundlessly above and invaded the streets with its fog as they slowly crept down through the nearby mountains. You went to school in your warm coat and scarf to keep you protected for the cold and the fog that was invading. School dragged on slowly and you tried to avoid those "friends" of yours, Naomi and Musubi. School ended later in the day after you thought it would drag on for hours upon hours. You weren't feeling your best for some reason or another and you probably had a fever but no one would have noticed otherwise since you quietly left the school and into the fog that was still apparent on the streets and over the city.

Your feet dragged on as you felt sluggish but your motivation was the eminent fear that you felt you were being watched and you weren't in full health to defend yourself. You walked along the side walk that the fog prevented you from seeing almost completely. You turned the corner and then you heard whispering of what seemed like a few people behind you. Your pace quickened, and you took a quick look back, your (h/c) locks blocking some of your vision. You know what would happen, anything but mostly the worst situation you could think of considering you were young, attractive, and wealthy, and for now in weak health and alone.

'Please... Not today. No, please no! I'll just have to run and try to outrun them in the fog!' You thought with a panic running through your system. Panting and somewhat stumbling, you ran through the foggy streets in the now darkening city, trying at all costs to avoid the thugs behind you. You heard their snickering and taunts as your legs carried you forward with the strength they had left.

You weren't very sure at this point where you were but you kept running. And then, you heard barking.

'A dog?' you thought as you kept running, getting closer to the distant barking. 'No. A puppy. What's it doing out here?'

Then next instant, you heard a car. You pace slowed, as you were panting and breathless from running. The lights were faint in the fog and they were a little ways away from you position. It was headed near the direction of the puppy you heard. And a new panic came into your mind as you heard screeching of tires. An unhelpful and frantic alert from the car in the distance, the screeching of friction from the tires on pavement, frantic barking of the little pup, and then the sound of the hood of the car hitting something. It wasn't the puppy. 'No... It was something bigger. A person?' The car drove away with increasing speed, abandoning the victim who lay somewhere in the fog now.

The thugs who were after you probably thought you had been the victim and decided to flee without bothering to interrogate the scene. You now rushed towards the direction of the barking. Your heart stopped as you stopped in front of the body that lay sprawled on the ground near the sidewalk of the street, the puppy barking and trying to protect him while whimpering beside its master. There, in front of you, lay a teenage boy about your age with baby blue hair and a certain uniform you had seen somewhere before. The world stopped before you as you caught your breath and inspected him a bit further, since the puppy seemed plead to you with whimpers to see what was wrong with its master. You took the trembling puppy in your arms and noticed it had a miniature version of a basketball shirt.

"Wait... This shirt," you said in a voice above a whisper as your thoughts escaped. You gasped and now, taking a closer look at the young boy, realized who he was. Kuroko Tetsuya lay motionless on the ground before you.
Well, there we go. After finally figuring out how to use this site for the first time (ehehe sorry I hardly used this) here you go. *\(^o^)/*

I'll probably post more of the chapters here. I don't know. Reader-chan what do you think?
